Dr. Sarah Lentz earned her medical degree from Dartmouth School of Medicine and completed her general surgery residency at Emory School of Medicine. She also earned a Master of Public Health degree from Yale School of Medicine, Department of Epidemiology and Public Health.
Dr. Lentz’s medical career includes serving in the
United States Air Force as a general surgeon for four years. During that time she was deployed to Saudi Arabia in 2003 and Iraq in 2006
She previously served as medical director of The Women’s Place at Carroll Hospital Center from 2007 to 2010 and chairman of surgery at Martinsville Memorial Hospital in Martinsville, Va.
Dr. Lentz is board certified by the American College of Surgeons. She is a member of the American Medical Association, Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, American Society of Breast Surgeons and Patrick Henry Medical Society of Southern Virginia.
Dr. Lentz specializes in advanced laparoscopy, breast surgery and endocrine surgery. She also performs gallbladder surgeries, colonoscopies, hernia repairs and hemorrhoidectomies.
